travel essentials

At the weekend Phil and I went to the travel agents to investigate a holiday for next month. But while we were there we found an amazing deal for a country we're really keen to visit (I've been wanting to go there for the past five years!) So next week we're off to Morocco! Specifically, Marrakech. And I am SO excited. I like the fact it's a last-minute holiday as I don't have time to get myself worked up about what to take and what to expect. We've taken a book out of the library so on the flight we can work out what trips we want to go on out there, and I've compiled a list of essential (and non-essential, but fun) items to take with me.

1 I got this Vaseline Lip Therapy with cocoa butter for Christmas - perfect for dry lips on holiday
2 I've heard that rosewater is great for hydrating skin on flights - how luxurious!
3 I always take dry shampoo when I go away; I discovered it a few years ago when I went camping and I love it
4 A journal is handy for recording holiday memories and jotting down inspirations that appear along the way
5 Although I love to wear heels, comfy (but pretty) flats are essential to keep feet happy while exploring
6 Waterproof mascara is definitely a good idea when on holiday so it stays put when swimming
7 I adore bareMinerals foundation - it gives flawless coverage and contains SPF15!
8 And of course a beautiful sunhat to protect head and shoulders :)

Have you been to Morocco before? Any pointers? What travel essentials have I missed?

I don't leave the house without my little tin of vaseline lip therapy and have it in assorted flavours. Have a wonderful time in Morocco.
