miri giveaway - closed

I am SO excited about today's giveaway from Cardiff-based designer Katy Webster. I first came across Katy's work at the St Mary Street Vintage & Craft Market in Cardiff and bought one of her beautiful screen-printed totes for a friend. I also saw that she was featured in a piece about the Cardiff craft scene in issue 3 of Crafty Magazine. Katy studied Fine Art in North Wales and since graduating has set up her business, Miri, designing, making and selling a range of jewellery, cards and acccessories based on her original screen prints and illustrations. Her eye-catching designs are inspired by nature, animals and a love of colour and Katy says that her work is also influenced by Mid-Century design. Katy prints at the Printhaus in Canton (if you're in Cardiff on July 21st be sure to visit their Snapped Up Indoor Market) and her work is stocked in various shops and galleries, including some in Iceland and Norway! You can also find Miri on Twitter and Facebook.

Now onto the giveaway.. Katy is very generously offering the chance for one of my readers to win a screenprint of their choice from the Miri Studio shop. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to head over to Miri Studio, browse the gorgeous collection of screenprints and then pop back here to leave a comment telling me which one you would choose. And that's it! For an extra entry please follow my blog on bloglovin' and let me know your username so I can count it :) Competition is open worldwide and closes July 18th when a winner will be chosen using a random number generator.

Can't wait to hear what you think of the Miri screenprints, and which one you would choose - I can't decide whether it'd be the owl or the fox, but I've also got my eye on the Cardiff one for my new living room wall.. Hx

Ps, more blogging love for Cardiff arty peeps: adele page and hubbard's cupboard.

Update: congratulations to #2 Jenny Larking who wins the sunflower screenprint by Miri! Please get in touch with your address so we can send you your prize :)

I tired to comment but I lost it everytime
This is what I put:
Lizard, I love your blog! It never fails to make me smile!!
As for your friends work, it is awesome. If I could have any of them, it would be the owl. It would look just perfect on the wall of my new flat that I get with my new job come September! A little house warming/congratulations present to myself!! Xx

Lush prints, my lovely wife Elaine would approve! We're gonna be painting our stripped floorboards diamond white this summer so with that and my favorite Tourette's outburst in full force in this heat, the 'Badger' print would be PERFECT!! Finger's crossed! BADGERS!!!!!

I would love to have the cardiff print, I am moving a little outside of the city in a couple of weeks but have loved my 9 years in "the 'diff" and think that would be perfect for the new house as a little reminder :-)

I love Miri studio! I recently did a course at the Printhaus and saw some of her lovely goodies around the place! just stunning. Its a tough choice between the little fox and the owl print... I'm gonna say Owl because I recently decorated my studio in shades of blue and green and I think he would be quite at home on my wall :) ooh and I followed you on bloglovin'! Username: Kindygarden

What beautiful work! I've just sat staring at the different prints deliberating because they're all really wonderful.

If I had to pick I'd go for the Bristol screen print (much as I love the animal ones!) because my fiance and I met there 7 years ago so it has a lot of sentimental value :)

Following you on Bloglovin' too! fionaclairehunter@googlemail.com

I love the badger print, he looks like a bit of a character! And my husband likes him because he is grey so it would be allowed to hang pride of place in the lounge and not hidden away in the cath kidston room!!

Amy! xx

I can't believe no-one else has picked the gorgeous little hedgehog - he is wonderful! I think he'd be perfect for the hallway.

Thanks for introducing me to Miri, some really adorable prints.

I love Miri's work and I desperately neeeed some real art for my sons bedroom. He is a small child of little words. He can say cat & duck, so the peacock will have to do. He can look at it, smile, cheekily and say duck, happy with his days achievement.

Thank you

Wonderful print work - I really love it! Definitely a big fan of that owl - so that's the one I'd choose.

I really love the designs, actually - I'm tempted despite the competition...!
